Memorial Scholarship

2024 Scholarship Winners

The Brownsville Church of God established the Betty Spoonhour Rideout Memorial Scholarship in 2018.

​

The $1,000 non-renewable scholarship was created to perpetuate the legacy of Betty Rideout, who was a proponent of academic excellence and spiritual growth.

​

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and enable graduating high school students to fulfill their academic goals.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for the 2025 Scholarship

 

  1. All applicants must be graduating high school students for the applicable year.

  2. All applicants must demonstrate academic potential to succeed at a two-year or four-year college or trade school.

  3. All applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. 

  4. All applicants are required to participate in an interview. Date to be announced. Please come professionally dressed and allot at least 20 minutes for the interview. You will receive a designated time for your interview. So, make sure your contact info is correct and then arrange your schedule accordingly to be able to attend the interview.                               

  5. All applicants must place the application materials in a sealed envelope and submit to Brownsville Church of God, 6390 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA, 17222.

 

DEADLINE

 

All completed application packets will be due in April, 2025. A specific date will be posted here by November. Late or incomplete application packets will not be considered.
